Arrggh! Taxes!
Well once again it's tax time and I have to do the taxes. What fun. Don't expect to hear from me for the next couple of days (as if anyone were actually reading this anyway...)

Blogs as a Web Developer Client Solution
Last night in my ITM 562 class (Web Site Design, Management and Application Development) I snuck in a little lecture about blogs and how they could be used as a solution for clients who had an urgent need for timely updates to their sites but no real technical savvy and ability to update plain ol' HTML. I should have pointed out that some extremely successful sites (slashdot comes to mind) are really just blogs. I was showing the class some blogs and on instapundit I came across this hilarious version of “All Your Base Are Belong To Us”. Anyway, think about blogs as a solution for your clients...

“How do I resolve Error 210?” in the Blogger Knowledge Base
Well, it's there; the error I discussed below is in the Blogger Knowledge Base, where they say "The Key check failures are temporary login problems, and are due to us restarting our login services. It may happen occasionally as we fix and tweak problems, but in the future, it will be very rare." They then go on to say that logging out and logging in again should fix the problem. [Bullpuckey.] Finally, they admit that "...Logging out and back in isn't correcting the problem for some users. We're looking in to it. Sorry for any trouble this might cause." And when was this page last updated? 08.22.02! So they've been "looking into it" for FIVE AND A HALF MONTHS!?!?!? Pardon me. I got carried away there. FIVE AND A HALF MONTHS!?!?!? This is, as we used to say in the Navy, totally unsat.   :-(

This Blogger Thing Doesn't Work Right!
I cannot delete older entries on this page because I get an error message when I try. I also cannot receive support from Blogger since I am a "free" user. Do they think I'm ever going to plunk down any money for "Blogger Pro" if the free version does not work? Do they think I'm gonna pay just to get support so I can make it work right? I don't think so! OK, enough venting for now. I guess I need to go look for an alternative. Damn. If this worked the way it should it would be a solution for a lot of problems on some other sites. Oh yeah, I can't use the user's forum to get help, because I get an error when I try to access that as well. Sort of a lose-lose situation. I guess I better find somewhere appropriate to raise a fuss...
